How Do You Say Good Night is a toddler board book Illustrated by Catalina Echeverri and published by Tommy Nelson. The board book pages are a little thinner than some board books I have, but still nice. It has approximately 20 pages with a decent amount of wording. The illustrations are cute and fun, revolving around a lot of classic African animals, like lions, elephants, monkeys and zebras.
The book helps celebrate the animals different ways that they say good night and prepares your little one to get excited about their own bedtime “good night” routine. The words are written in a catchy rhyming pattern that is fun to read and fun to listen to. Each animal remembers to thank God in their own way, thus incorporating a consistent spiritual tone of prayer before bed. I thought this book was cute and fun for little ones. My kids love animals and repetitive wording so it fit right in to our bedtime routine, while adding in simple playfulness, spirituality and good questions about our own routine. If you read bedtime specific books at night, I think this is a perfect one to add to your collection.
