The cover is simple and the title is a little vague, but what caught my attention immediately was the tag line – How to Turn Your Overwhelming Thoughts and Feelings into Your Greatest Allies. I have struggled off and on with postpartum depression, extreme anxiety and just the overwhelming toll that being a mom can take.

This book provides some relatable anecdotes, helpful exercises, engaging quizzes and lots of opportunities for personal reflection. With over 25 years experience, the authors’ combine their wisdom, education, clinical practices and biblical studies to help set you on a healthier journey to become the loving, authentic and joyful person you were created by God to be.

This book starts off slow and it’s not the most fun book to have to keep reflecting on your struggles, but it’s also encouraging, spiritually, to remind us that God has something better planned for our lives if we let Him take a greater position of control. I think this book is a helpful tool if you struggle, like I do, to start some better practices and get out of some of our bad habits that lead to being overwhelmed.

I received this book free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers   book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
