Love Does for Kids was written by Bob Goff and Lindsey Goff Viducich (his daughter). It was illustrated by Michael Lauritano and published by Tommy Nelson. It is a nice hardback follow-up kids book to Bob Goff’s New York Times Bestseller, Love Does. It has approximately 214 pages of relatable story-filled devotionals with full color images. The illustrations were fun and reminded me of my old Sunday school workbooks with a modern twist. The book is recommended for ages 6-10.
My 8 year old daughter found this book on the table before I even had the chance to introduce her to it. I came home from grocery shopping one evening to her reading the first devotion out loud to her dad and brothers. My heart melted. She did a great job reading with a little help on a couple words. The story brought up some good post-reading questions and conversations and my daughter just wanted to keep on reading. She said that she really liked the stories and the pictures.
I haven’t read through the whole book yet, but so far, we are really enjoying it. It is well put together, has good stories for the directed age group and has simple, yet very important lessons about life, faith, love and God. I’m so glad that Josephine is enjoying this devotional and can read it herself! We would recommend it!
