NKJV Unapologetic Study Bible

The NKJV Unapologetic Study Bible – Confidence for such a time as this, is published by Thomas Nelson. I’m always looking for a good “study” Bible that will give me new insights and commentary to scripture. I ordered this book with that hope in mind.

The NKJV Unapologetic Study Bible has a nice large text size with black and red print. It has helpful Bible book introductions that give you insight into the context of each book. It also contains over 220 articles (placed near relevant scripture) that deals with current issues of today. It has over 70 quotations and 50 profiles from historical figures to help inspire and challenge your spiritual walk. It also has an Index that will assist you in topical study issues that matter the most to you.

The biggest feature that I appreciated was the Bible book introductions. They do a good job of giving an introduction to each book, background, context and outline of content. I thought that the articles were good, they’re short so not super in-depth, but have some interesting stories and useful scripture references.

I thought this was a good Bible with a lot of helpful tools for learning, studying and cross-referencing. The articles follow a very conservative Christian view of morals, which could cause a problem for liberal Christians. Also, because it is NKJV, I would not recommend it for a new Christian as the wording is not as flowy as some translations, but would recommend it for someone already a little familiar with scripture and KJV.

I received this Bible for free from the publisher through the BookLook Bloggers book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
