28 Day Weigh-In and Personal Trainer Food Final Review

Ahhhhh!!! I did it!

28 days on the Personal Trainer Food program.

Just to give a little background: The Personal Trainer Food Program is a convenient weight loss meal plan. It is similarly based on the ketogenic diet (low carb), but even a little more strict with cutting carbs. You decide which meal plan will work best for you from their options and they send you convenient frozen food to meet your goal. You can watch my unboxing video HERE.

They also send you helpful information on how to boost your weight loss, what can stall weight loss and other helpful information on fasting, how much water you should drink and what snacks/foods that you can add in to their plan if you need to. Their blog also gives helpful information on exercise, PTF approved recipes and general health and wellness.

When I started this journey, I weighed 140 lbs. I drank Dr. Pepper every day, ate fast food a couple times a week and didn’t do any consistent exercise. And I wondered why I couldn’t get the weight off after having my 4th baby. So I knew changes would not happen unless I did something drastic. Personal Trainer Food seemed drastic, but I made the commitment with the expectation of maybe losing 5-10 lbs giving up soda. Well, I was blown away week after week.

After 1st week: 134.6 lbs. (Week 1 Blog Post)

After 2nd week: 130.4 lbs. (Week 2 Blog Post)

After 3rd week: 127.4 lbs. (Week 3 Blog Post)

And now after 4 weeks……….

My final weigh-in:

You guys, I’m super proud of myself! It was hard, but I did it and it paid off! I lost 15 lbs! To maintain my results, I plan on moving into a low carb diet, continuing intermittent fasting, portion control and upping my exercise. This journey is not over, but I’m loving where I’m at! I even decided to try on my wedding dress that has been in a bag for 11 years and it fit! What a great feeling for a mom who has had 4 babies!

Final Thoughts on The Personal Trainer Food Program:

I had a great experience on this program. The food was good for being so convenient and there were lots of options and different ways to prepare food or add approved food in. All of the PTF food is microwaveable, making it super convenient to grab and take to work or eat quickly, without a lot of prep or having to go shop and be tempted by all the crap. The food is good. I wouldn’t say it is amazing, but for being so convenient, I was really pleased with the taste. If I had time, I would usually prepare the food on the stove top or in the oven to give it a boost, but I didn’t have to. You can also add in approved sauces, dressings, sides, salads, etc. There are a lot of options on this diet. I could eat out easily and stay on plan or make a meal for my whole family that was plan approved too. My favorite PTF meals were the Fritata and Sausage, the Teryaki Chicken, and the Dill Chicken Bites. The portion sizes may seem small when you’re starting the program, but they were the perfect size for me and many times, I couldn’t even finish the meal.

The text and Facebook support was really encouraging, making you feel like you’re part of a community with the same goal and answering any questions that you might have. I learned a lot about the benefits of intermittent fasting, smaller portion sizes and reading labels. There’s little extra shopping, guess work or meal prep needed (unless you want to) and that’s what makes this program work. PTF does the hard work for you and you just commit to it. Anyone can do 28 days. It goes by fast and you don’t feel hungry or have to count calories or points. I’m very pleased. If you encounter any issues, they have great customer service that will make it right. And when you think of the price, $4 or less a meal is really reasonable compared to the crap you by at fast food restaurants. Overall, I am a testimony that this program works. Of course, everyone will have different results and some of those results will not show on the scale, but can still be considered victories. If you are wanting to lose some weight for summer and can commit to 28 days, I recommend giving this program a shot. Stick with it and see the results for yourself!

If you have any questions about this program or my experience, I’d love to answer them! Let me know!
