“May the God of hope fill you with all joy.” -Romans 15:13
Hope for Each Day is a year long devotional geared toward kids. It is written by Billy Graham and published by Tommy Nelson. This book follows the form of his adult bestselling devotional, using the same scriptures and themes, but written in a language that kids can understand. This makes it a great resource for adults and kids to be able to share their devotional time, while both getting the most out of it.
The book has a beautiful bright inviting hardback cover with a little attached bookmark to keep track of where you’re at. The book is very organized and easy to follow with the date at the top of each page, followed by the theme, a scripture and the devotional. There is a Bible reading plan and a couple pages for journaling in the back of the book which are nice little extras. The devotions were simple, short and to the point, each one pointing to a Biblical truth or practice that is good to be reminded of. I thought the language was appropriate for a child ages 8-young teenager. The book was nice. I wouldn’t say that it blew me away, but it is a good devotional that I would recommend checking out.
