Say & Pray Bible by Diane Stortz – First Words, Stories & Prayers

IMG_5200

The Say & Pray Bible is a board book for babies, filled with first words, sentence stories and prayers. It was written by Diane Stortz and Illustrated by Sarah Ward. It covers 20 child appropriate stories from the Old and New Testament. Each “story” spans two beautifully illustrated and colorful pages.

This book is perfect for babies and toddlers learning their first words. It has short and simple sentence stories and prayers and also has adorable pictures labeled with words to say with your child. Example: Lion, Boat, Baby, Nose, etc. This makes the learning fun and interactive. It is also a board book, so it is great for little fumbling fingers and hands. I’m so glad that I don’t have to worry about the pages getting ripped or torn out. My son loves to carry it around and it seems sturdy toward his rough and tumble play. It is a cute book and a great way to introduce your little one to simple scripture and prayer.

Here is an example of how the book reads (this is the first story).

Genesis 1: In the Beginning

God Made the World God made the world, The beautiful world, And He said, “It is very good!”IMG_5188

Say: In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. -Genesis 1:1

Pray: Thank You, God, for making the world and me! Amen.

Picture Words: Cow, Horse, Sheep, Flowers, Adam & Eve, Tree

It is geared perfectly toward babies with simple poetic language that is easy to read and follow along with. Stryker and I definitely recommend this book. I think it makes a sweet baby shower or 1st birthday gift. I received this book from BookLook Bloggers for free in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions here are my own.
